Opening Soon! North Vancouver’s First “No Single Cup” coffee shop – NOMAD

Single-use cups and non-recyclable plastics are a huge problem. They usually end up in landfills and often can’t be recycled because of the plastic coating that makes them leak-proof. Since the City of Vancouver’s 25 cents cup fee, more people are turning to reusable cups.

NOMAD COFFEE is striving to become North Vancouver’s “Zero-Waste” coffee shop by NOT offering Single-Use Cups. NOMAD COFFEE at 1415 Bewicke Ave, North Vancouver, opens on May 13th.

The newest coffee shop to come to the area will be taking a few measures to bring fresh energy to enjoying delicious drinks, both hot and cold, as well as baked goodies for people and dogs alike.

  • Reusable cups and to-go cups are available for sale
  • Customer cup rinsing station
  • Use one of NOMAD’s takeaway glass mugs if you forget your own for a $2 deposit (returned when you bring the mug back)
  • Electronic receipts only
  • Recycle bins
