My trusty leather boots have a hole in the sole. I’ve been wearing them pretty much every day for two years, apart from when I’m either in shorts or in deep snow. The grips have gone and now they’re so thin I can feel the breeze on my toes. Not much good for adventuring outside and doing very outdoorsy things, like taking photos of leaves.

Time for an upgrade!

I got my hands on (and feet in) a pair of Kamik Griffon Boots from Altitude Sports and my daughter picked a pair of Kamik Parker 2 boots to keep her snug through the Winter.

Let’s start with the grip. WOW! These aren’t going anywhere. This moss was especially slippery but I had no problem climbing this mighty boulder. I’m basically Bear Grylls. The toes have a waterproof cap so walking through snow or puddles won’t leave you with wet socks, and there’s a really comfortable padded top section which stops them from rubbing.
