The New Trend for Dapper Dads [and contest]

While I try look put-together in my typical British way, I don’t really know how to look ‘fashionable’, and I never have. I think that’s ok though. Dad’s don’t really need to look smart outside of the office, and wearing a suit or expensive fashion-forward threads isn’t practical when you’re carrying around someone who just loves to spill drinks and get her hands in anything remotely squidgy.

My watch is the only accessory I wear all the time, and to be honest I feel weird without one on. There’s nothing quite like looking at something that looks really, really nice on your wrist.

So I was super-happy to have found Jord Wood Watches from one of their posts on Instagram.

After looking through the options of different types of wood, movements, and watch faces, I decided on the Frankie Dark Sandalwood and Smoke watch as it looks simple, yet classic. Nothing too flashy but clearly well designed.

They’ve got both Men’s and Women’s watches, and if you order before May 10th they’ll engrave it in time for Mother’s Day for free. Although we’re really talking about the men’s watches, it’s worth mentioning in case you haven’t got her a gift yet (hurry up!).

  1. I used to wear a watch all the time, but then the batteries died and I just stopped wearing it. Maybe I’ll just get a new one instead of replacing the batteries, haha! 🙂 Great post– your photos look great
