Oh my! The FujiFilm X-H2S is a dream – here’s why
On this year’s #5DadsGoWild, I switched from my usual Sony A7Riii to the FujiFilm X-H2S paired with XF50-140MM F2.8 and XF18-120mm F4 LM lenses. Driving through Washington and Oregon, there was plenty to capture, including the stunning Cannon Beach, the Goonies house in Astoria, and me eating a massive ice cream at the Tillamook Creamery.

But you’re here for the camera review, so here you go.
The FujiFilm X-H2S is a remarkable addition to their X-Series lineup, offering professional photographers and enthusiasts a versatile tool to capture stunning images and videos. In this blog post, we will delve into the exceptional features and explore the various uses of the FujiFilm X-H2S camera.

This combination ensures remarkable image quality with superb detail, excellent dynamic range, and vibrant colors. The camera’s exceptional low-light performance, with an expandable ISO range up to 51200, allows photographers to capture stunning images in challenging lighting conditions.

Advanced Autofocus and Tracking: With the X-H2S, Fujifilm has taken autofocus performance to new heights. The camera features a hybrid autofocus system with 425 phase-detection autofocus (PDAF) points that cover almost the entire frame, enabling precise and fast focusing. Additionally, the improved face and eye detection algorithms ensure accurate focus on human subjects, even in challenging situations. The advanced tracking capabilities of the X-H2S make it ideal for capturing fast-moving subjects, such as wildlife or sports events, with exceptional precision.
Impressive Video Capabilities: The FujiFilm X-H2S is not only a powerhouse for still photography but also excels in video recording. It supports DCI 4K recording at up to 60 frames per second (fps) and Full HD recording at up to 240 fps for stunning slow-motion footage. The camera also offers various film simulations, including the popular Fujifilm Classic Neg, to enhance the visual aesthetics of your videos. With the ability to record in 10-bit 4:2:2 color internally, the X-H2S provides excellent flexibility during post-production.

Robust Build and Ergonomics: Designed for durability, the X-H2S features a robust magnesium alloy body that is weather-sealed at 95 points, making it resistant to dust, moisture, and low temperatures. The camera’s intuitive layout of controls and dials ensures quick access to essential settings, enhancing the overall shooting experience. The high-resolution electronic viewfinder (EVF) and tilting touchscreen LCD provide excellent visibility and flexibility, allowing photographers to compose shots from various angles with ease.
Extensive Connectivity and Sharing Options: The FujiFilm X-H2S offers a range of connectivity options, including built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
