Make it a Sustainable Back-To-School Season
You know what it’s like – new school year, time to get things in order. We salvaged what we could from her battered lunch bag but we’re refreshing with some sustainably made lunch boxes, cutlery, and bento boxes from Minimal, who sent us the items to test.
As always, if we don’t love the items we test, they don’t make it on SocialDad.ca. These passed because of the simple, stylish design, the use of sustainable materials like rice husks and long-lasting steel, and the family-friendly price points.
· Natural fibre bento boxes are made of discarded rice husks and are microwave/dishwasher safe.
· Insulated food jars are made of food-grade stainless steel and keep foods hot for 7 hours or cold for 9 hours. A foldable spoon is included – the retail price is $28-$32
· Silicone food containers are made of 100% premium food grade silicone and are safe for microwave, dishwasher, freezer and oven – retail price is $16-$24
