Toy Test: Spirit Riding Free Playmobil Play set
Netflix has an incredible reputation for making their own shows and one of the newest is Spirit – Riding Free. It’s a Pixar animated series about making friends, finding strength, and riding free.
To accompany the show, Playmobil has created a pretty awesome playset, including a house and accompanying character sets.
As soon as I showed the set to my daughter, she was pretty excited to get into it, even though she’d just woken up from her nap so was a little blurry-eyed.
The whole set took about 15-30 minutes to construct, with plenty of small pieces to keep any small hands busy while we tackled the main construction.
The best part of this set is that the kids can recreate their favourite show episodes or imagine their own ones. While my daughter is happy to gallop (or “giddyump”) the horse, my nieces are always inspired to let the characters have full conversations, which usually lead to rescuing someone who’s stuck.
I’m really feeling quite lucky that my daughter is at the age where she’s starting to play with these little houses. She can let her imagination take her wherever she likes, and the little characters help her play out household scenarios, even if it means there’s a horse in the kitchen.
All of the little pieces of kitchenware and furniture are theirs to move around and play with, giving the kids lots of things to interact with.
Now that the weather has started to turn from the long summer evenings outside, we’re looking for more things to do inside, so this Spirit Riding Free playset is perfect.
Disclaimer: Playmobil sent us this playset in exchange for an honest review. It’s really fun, especially if you love the Netflix show. I know most of my reviews are positive, because if I’m sent something I don’t like, I don’t talk about it.
