Organic Coffee at the Push of a Button
Ethical Bean Coffee have done it again. Actually two things.
They continue to be an inspiration for promoting organic, fairtrade, and delicious coffee, but they’ve alleviated me of my Keurig guilt.
The coffee pods or ‘K-Cups’ have been a point of contention since the single-serve coffee machine was invented. Apparently, there were enough plastic K-Cups discarded in 2014 to circle the earth more than 10 times. The inventor, John Sylvan even admits to regretting the creation of the K-Cup.
But wait! There’s amazing news. Ethical Bean, the Vancouver-based coffee people have released a 100% compostable coffee pod for the Keurig coffee machines. This is seriously good news for the environment.
Once you’ve made your lovely coffee, the whole pod that’s all of it, can go right into your garden. I put mine under the roses and they’re coming up beautifully.
The other thing that will make your day just a little bit better is that now, you can get your coffee refills, K-cups, whole beans, and grounds delivered right to your door with the push of an Amazon Dash button.
Picture the scene. You wake up and you pour the last of the coffee into the French press. No need to add it to the shopping list, just press the Dash button. It connects to your Amazon account and orders it on your behalf.
If you have same day or next day delivery, you’ll be enjoying a fresh cup before you put on your slippers.
Right now these are only available in the US [get yours here], but you can still buy online right here.
Please note, don’t put the Dash button near your baby, or you’ll end up with a warehouse full. (Only joking, you can approve all purchases via your phone or email).
Thanks again to the lovely people at Ethical Bean for supporting my delicious coffee habit, as well as this post.
